3rdwave is back in Session! That's right, get your boards ready for another awesome summer of surf and fellowship! Now starting every Saturday @ 7 AM on 74th street. If you got questions, get in touch with: April 06, 2007 Hi everyone, I hope all of you had a great winter & are ready for summertime! We've decided to change up our meetings this summer. We are still going to meet as a group on 58th street every Saturday but now our meetings will consist of a surfing fellowship. Weather permitting, we are all planning on meeting between 7-8am to surf together and fellowship with one another doing what we enjoy doing best - surfing. We are planning on having monthly beach meetings in the summer that will include music & bible studies but these will take place one evening a month on the beach. As soon as we get the specific dates together we'll let everyone know. We will also be planning our annual luau again to take place mid-summer. Let us know if you have any other ideas or if you would like to help out with the planning. Have a great Easter & we'll see you on the beach soon! God Bless, October 21, 2006 Unfortunately, it's that time of year when it's time to bring 3rd Wave to a close. We will not be officially meeting on the beach anymore this year but depending on the weather, many may still show up on Saturday mornings to surf & fellowship. We will begin meeting regularly again next April. Have a great winter & take care! September 16, 2006 Thanks to Pastor Frank from Bay Country Church in Cambridge, MD for bringing the Word this morning on the beach. Although we had rain & cool weather, there were several regulars who made it out. He will definitely come back next summer to support us! Those of you who are still around know the best season for waves is coming. We will continue to meet on the beach every Saturday morning through October until the weather gets to cold. See you all on the beach! August 01, 2006 Well, our 3rd Annual Luau this past Saturday was a success! We had well over 150 people attend and aside from the heat & flies we had beautiful weather with fun waves!!! Thanks to everyone for contributing & all the hard work. We need to thank Domino's Pizza, Pepsi Co. & Giant Food for their donations. Can't wait til next summer's luau! July 03, 2006 This Saturday, July 8, 2006 3rd Wave will be having its first fellowship surf session on the beach at 58th street at 8am. There will not be any music or message - just a chance for everyone to surf together. If you know of anyone who has been wanting to attend but resisting for some reason, this may be the perfect opportunity to invite them again! Have a safe & happy 4th of July. June 10, 2006 Hey everyone, We finally have date set for our 3rd annual luau. It will on Saturday, July 25th beginning at 6pm on the beach at 58th street. We will have plenty of food, volleyball, a bonfire, a band & hopefully be blessed with some surf! Please pray for great weather (& surf)! April 09, 2006 Hey everyone, We were really blessed to have such a mild winter & be thankful that spring & summer are upon us! Sorry we haven't had any postings lately but it's time to start thinking about our meetings back on the beach. Check back in the next week or two for a specific start date for Saturday mornings at 58th street. Don't forget to plan ahead for our 3rd Annual Beach Luau in July!!! In my own life i have found that i am my strongest when i put my time and effort in trying to get closer to God. When we put other things before God we make them into idols. If we are chasing after idols we can't get close to God. Psalm 24 3-5
God Bless July 10, 2005 Our 2nd annual 3rd Wave Beach Luau was a success last night! About 100 people showed up & we even had some fun waves to surf. The band, Prodigal Child, was awesome - thanks to them for blessing us with their time & gifts. Also want to thank Dumser's for the fried chicken, Surf's Edge in Fenwick for the the subs & Domino's for all the pizza. Vic's setup for everything & the message he gave was great & thanks to Bob & Jackie for the volleyball & fire. Also want to thank everyone for bringing food, etc. & helping to promote. We have to give thanks to God for a beautiful evening, perfect weather & bringing everything together!! We are all truly blessed! Have a great week - Michelle June 27, 2005 Our annual Beach Luau is set for July 9th at 6:30pm on the beach at 58th street. We have food donated by Dumser's, Domino's Pizza & Surf's Edge in Fenwick Island. Also, the christian rock band Prodigal Child will be performing as well. Michelle June 20, 2005 Hey - pick up a copy of OC's Beachcomber this Friday, June 24th. They're doing an article on 3rd Wave. There's also a great story on us in June's edition of the Manna. June 03, 2005 The lifeguards are now on duty, we have moved the time to 7 a.m. We finally got to meet on the beach last week, but it looks like tomarrow will be another rainy day. God is good and he has the perfect plan so lets just get ride along and see where God takes us this summer. Praise God May 15, 2005 Jay & I welcomed a beautiful baby boy on Monday, May 2nd at 11:55pm. Kai Ashton Sommers weighed 7 lbs. 10 oz. & was 20.5 inches long. He has blond hair, blue eyes & the sweetest personality. Our little surfer boy will be attending 3rd Wave with me beginning next weekend. He can't wait to meet everyone!! God is good & has truly blessed us with this little miracle. April 11, 2005 Hey everyone, getting ready for a new season of the surf and for the heart. We'll be starting regular meetings on Sat. April 23,'05 at 58th St. and the ocean. This will get us back to our schedule of every Sat. at 8:00am till the guards come back on duty in late May. As usual in case of rain, we'll be at Atlantic U.M. Church on 5th St. Riding the wave of the Holy Spirit! March 06, 2004 Hey everyone, Can you believe summer's almost here? Hope everyone has had a great winter. 3rd Wave will be starting up again on Saturday, April 23rd on the beach at 58th street in OC. We will be meeting at 8am until the lifeguards come on duty in May. Hope to see everybody there!!! November 10, 2004 Hey, just wanted to let everyone know that 3rd Wave will not be meeting every Saturday during the Winter. Instead we will most likely meet once a month in the evenings. All dates and times we'll be posted on site, so be sure to check back! I know I had a great time and can't wait to have it again next year! I've posted some pictures from Luau as well as a some clips from an article on 3rd wave below. Welcome one and all. We would like to inform you, that we are meeting on the beach at 58th street at 7:00 am every Saturday morning. If it is raining, we will meet at Atlantic Methodist Church on 4th street.(Pastor Bill has been so gracious to open the door for us when ever needed). April 04, 2004 REMINDER: We will be meeting April 17 @ 8:00am at Atlantic Meth. Church. All are welcome so come on out. We will also be meeting every Sat. starting the first Sat. in May. Hey guys, Just a note to let you know that Jordan F. is in Cali. this week. Please pray for him, and the friends he is staying with.( I believe they are friends from college who now live there) He called and the waves are chest to head and glassy, water temp 64 ( jerk had to call and tell me) kidding ! please pray for him to be a witness for our king and to remain strong in the faith. And most important HOW IS YOUR HEART! Is God reigning in your life now, is He still first. I hope so. Have you been in the WORD today. Please God and get to know Him better. He so longs to know us as true sons and daughters. He is our Daddy and we are his children.
